Is it necessary to have a hose station on every tower? Which specification specifies this? Please advise……
The purpose of setting up a hose station is to enable quick connection using hoses in areas where such connections are temporarily necessary; if the tower is not too tall and there is an appropriate material handling system in the vicinity, it may not be necessary to have a hose station
Where there are no regulatory requirements, whether to install a hose station depends on specific process requirements as well as the height and location of the tower; in most of the towers I’ve seen, no hose stations are installed.
It seems that it is required for towers that are 15 meters tall or more, unless there is already one on the surrounding structure that can cover the tower
Few of the large towers I have seen are equipped with hoses.
According to (HG/T20570.13-1995), the utility material stations for tower equipment and vertical reactors are located on the ground and near the equipment on the operation platform. The vertical distance between the utility material stations on the tower and the manholes shall not exceed 9 meters; generally, one utility material station is installed every two floors, with one such station also placed on the top platform of the tower. The connection pipes of the utility material station system on the tower must not prevent the opening and rotation of the manhole covers
The vast majority of towers do not have hose stations; however, if the tower is part of a building, hose stations are available there.
