1. During normal production, where does the crude oil go through the orifice plate in the emergency return line? 2. Where does it go when feeding is stopped? In other words, when is crude oil sent to the crude oil tank, the reprocessing tank, or the distillation tower via the emergency return line?

During normal operation, the crude oil flows to the bottom of the distillation tower through the orifice plate in the emergency return line, keeping the emergency bypass line active. When the feed is cut off, it also enters the bottom of the fractionator.

Abnormal conditions during normal production: In the event of a feed cut-off, the bypass is switched back to the crude oil tank, and the amount of slurry discharged is adjusted according to changes in the bottom liquid level of the tower.

During normal operation, the crude oil flows through the bypass of the emergency bypass safety valve (which has a flow-limiting orifice plate) and returns to the crude oil buffer tanks (the cold paraffin oil tank and the hot paraffin oil tank; in an emergency, the hot paraffin oil tank is connected to the reprocessed oil tank via a transfer valve). This is done to preheat the pipelines, ensuring that hot oil continuously flows through them and thus preventing blockages. 2. In an emergency situation, the crude oil flows through the emergency bypass safety valve to the crude oil buffer tank. If the liquid level at the bottom of the distillation tower is low, the crude oil feed for the tower bottom (the branch returning from the emergency bypass line) can be opened to maintain the liquid level.
