If I choose 1.4112 for the bearing bush material, what material should I generally use for the shaft sleeve?
I would appreciate some advice from those who are more experienced. I saw the material of the bearing shells on one device before, but I haven’t seen information regarding the material of the shaft sleeves. Thank you! ! !
This post was last edited by reallyzrj on 2012-6-21 09:54. Those made of nylon have a longer lifespan than graphite bearings filled with PTFE. I’ve always wanted to give silicon carbide a try; I’m not sure if it’s feasible

I agree with you. Common practice is to use 304 (304L), 316 (316L), or Ti (titanium-containing alloy steel) for the mixer shaft (or shaft sleeve), along with non-metallic bearing shells such as graphite impregnated with epoxy resin or phenolic resin. I would like to know the material of the bearing bush for the bottom of the esterification reactor. Could someone tell me? Thank you in advance!
