Let’s talk about the HCBBS

Simply reply: I know HaiChuan through my colleague, and we can share technical information and discuss it in order to clarify or improve the technology, including aspects related to different disciplines and process technologies. Usually, I spend only one hour per day looking at content on HaiChuan, responding to it, or asking questions. So far, HaiChuan has proven to be a useful tool for the chemical engineering team. However, someone needs to provide professional answers to questions or confirm the correct responses for those who are newer to this field; this can also help improve everyone’s English skills and technical knowledge. Although English is only the working language for us, it is very important to know how to express oneself well in English in daily work.

What does “friend” mean? It means to share things with someone. HCBBS is my new friend. Although I don’t know him very well, at least from our recent conversations, I find it pleasant to talk to and share things with him~ In the future, we will undoubtedly become good friends

There are three sections related to English: Professional English, as the name suggests, is for professional purposes; General English serves as a platform for everyone to learn, share, and communicate; while Chemical Engineering English is a section dedicated to answering questions related to technical English in the field of chemical engineering. It is believed that many English learners who are not from the chemical engineering field came to Haichuan through this section (except those referred by others). Therefore, in order to attract more netizens to join and expand Haichuan’s influence, could the name of the “Chemical Engineering English” section be changed to “Technical English”? After all, Haichuan is marketed as a platform for chemical engineering discussions; thus, Technical English would primarily cover chemical engineering-related content, while still accommodating English related to other disciplines. This change would naturally broaden its appeal, thereby attracting more people willing to give it a try. And then whatever comes next, you know what I mean

Over the past several years, with the support and care of leaders at all levels, various tasks and projects have been carried out smoothly. The work plans set forth by the leadership have also been successfully implemented, thanks to the enthusiastic support and active participation of numerous members and non-members alike; as a result, remarkable achievements have been made. For the Foreign Language Club, it is very beneficial to summarize the main topics as key highlights—especially daily translations—so that all members, particularly those who couldn’t respond in a timely manner, can easily keep up.

1. I came to know HCBBS through an introduction from my colleague. Two years ago, our company established a new production facility, and I was eager to find relevant data; fortunately, I encountered HCBBS. 2. I think HCBBS is the most successful chemical forum – you can almost find whatever you are looking for there. 3. I am online on every working day and spend more than an hour on HCBBS until my shift ends. 4. Same as point 2. 5. The English section of the site is good. Suggestions: 1. It would be great if there were many English learning materials available for free download. 2. Some information and data are insufficient; I asked for details regarding incinerators/rotary kilns but didn’t receive any response, which is unfortunate. Therefore, I suggest expanding the information available on HCBBS. Thank you!
