Air compressors that generate compressed air have a high air intake rate per hour; therefore, the quality of the air drawn in also has a significant impact. As a result, the air filter in it needs to be replaced more frequently. We use Sullair air compressors; generally, the air filter needs to be replaced every 2,000 hours, and the cost is relatively high. I heard that some manufacturers use non-woven fabric to assist in filtering air, which then enters the air compressor through an air filter element, and this approach yields good results. As mentioned above, using used oil for filtration does yield good results, but this means that the air will contain oil; in other words, the compressor will be exposed to oil, which affects subsequent processing stages. Non-woven fabric is quite inexpensive.
