Hello everyone. On the 3\" pipeline, there is a transmitter and a shut-off valve; when the pressure sensed by the transmitter reaches a certain value, the valve opens. What should be the distance between the transmitter and the valve? ? Are there any relevant standards? !
There is no specific requirement regarding the distance between the valve and the pressure transducer; however, there is a requirement between the flow meter and the valve. Generally, the valve is placed after the flow meter, with a minimum distance of 20D between them.
The pressure transmitter is fine right before the control valve.
