Safety distance for heavy oil tank areas

Dear colleagues, our company plans to set up a new alkali recovery project that will use evaporators to concentrate waste alkali. However, there is limited space in the factory; only the area around the heavy oil tanks has some available space. Yet this space is only 5 meters away from the oil tanks. Would building the facility in this area violate safety regulations? What are the relevant safety standards and rules? I would be extremely grateful if you could provide some guidance.
The Building Code specifies a fire separation distance of 5 meters, which is not met here.
Generally, it follows the Building Code, but it also depends on what kind of company you are in. If it’s a petrochemical company, it’s better to follow the guidelines specific to petrochemical enterprises
What was said on the 3rd floor is correct; first, it’s necessary to determine whether your company belongs to the petrochemical industry. If so, the \"Petrochemical Regulations\" should be followed. However, these regulations only set requirements for Class A, B, and C facilities. Therefore, I believe that for those cases where the Petrochemical Regulations do not impose any requirements, the \"Construction Regulations\" can be applied. According to those regulations, a distance of 5 meters definitely does not meet the required standards.
