Ash content determination is the basis for pricing; rapid testing of the ash content in coking coal allows for results to be obtained in a short time upon arrival at the plant. There is rapid ash analysis using a muffle furnace, and there are also reflective instruments that can complete the analysis in 1 minute, but the results are not very accurate. If it’s required to be completed within a few dozen minutes, which devices are relatively accurate and what is their performance like?
It is said that 0.2 grams of the sample need to be heated at 850° for 20 minutes
