When using PROII to simulate a process, I need to use heat transfer oil. The heat transfer oil manufacturer provided me with the thermodynamic data for T55 heat transfer oil. To save effort, I used biphenyl in place of heat transfer oil and modified its thermodynamic parameters, but the results were surprising: the modified values didn’t cause any change at all; no matter how I adjusted it, biphenyl simply couldn’t turn into heat transfer oil. I tried it again: I created a new virtual component that didn’t exist before, and then entered the relevant thermal data for the heat transfer oil (it was a complicated process), and this time there were no problems. So in other words, making changes to the data in PROII is completely ineffective. Will it also be impossible to modify the binary interaction parameters that need to be adjusted in another process after some time? I wonder if anyone has encountered this situation; if so, how did they resolve it?
