Fellow acetylene workers, due to my lack of experience, I hope everyone can provide me with the information regarding the airtightness tests and leak checks that need to be carried out before starting up an acetylene system, so that I can prepare for it. The operating pressure of the acetylene system is low, and there are many areas prone to vibration during operation. Acetylene has a wide explosive range; therefore, it is very important to ensure proper airtightness – care must be taken to do this thoroughly and without any omissions. Determine the airtightness pressure based on operating parameters.
