Connecting PVC pipes with ABS pipes

I would appreciate some advice from those who are more experienced: whether it is possible to use glue for bonding, and which type of glue to choose. For SCH40 pipes, I don’t know what pressure the connection area can withstand Thank you
1. If there’s no space, can’t we cut part of the pipe and then attach a flange? 2.
