The installation is now complete, and we are ready to proceed with pressure testing – a full system pressure test. The medium used for this testing is condensate, at a temperature of around 70 degrees. I would like to ask whether the low current temperatures might affect the results of the pressure testing. Additionally, since the tower is made of composite panels, I wonder if low temperatures could have an impact on them; after all, it’s hot water, and the thermal expansion coefficients of composite panels vary. That’s what I’m thinking. I look forward to hearing from those who are more knowledgeable!
Pressure testing is not greatly affected by ambient temperature.
According to the specifications, during pressure testing in winter, it is necessary to ensure that the temperature of the testing medium is above five degrees Celsius; if it is possible to maintain a water temperature inside the tower at least at five degrees Celsius, then testing can be carried out without issue. Using water at 70 degrees Celsius is completely fine; however, according to GB150, there is a temperature conversion factor related to the strength of steel, or one can choose the appropriate value by referring to the standard tables and performing calculations
