HG20592 belongs to the European standard series of flanges; why are the connection dimensions and even the thickness of flanges in the 10-kilogram and 16-kilogram series exactly the same for DN150 and below? I’d appreciate everyone’s insights
What’s there to question about this? There are countless instances where the pressure varies while the size remains the same. This is because this particular size can accommodate both 1.0 and 1.6 pressure levels. However, due to size limitations, it’s difficult to make it any smaller. Take GB products for example: how many sizes are there that have different pressure ratings but the same dimensions, for pressures below 4.0 MPa?
I agree with what was said above: the thickness of the flange, the size of the bolt holes, and the number of bolt holes – in the minimum case, these are 1.0 and 1 respectively. All of those related to 6 can be met, so it’s not surprising that the same is true here.
It’s not surprising that there are many similarities between levels 1.6 and 2.5, as well as between 2.5 and 4.0; the thickness requirements are met, and the center distances are kept as similar as possible. If they differ, it’s simply because there’s no other way around it.
