For fiberglass, it depends on the grade of resin used; generally, it will hold up for 10 years without problems, with the main thing to pay attention to being protection against freezing in winter.
It generally can be used for 20 years; during use, avoid storing it at excessive temperatures or in excessive quantities. When manufacturing it, pay attention to the creation of the outermost UV-resistant layer as well as the formulation of UV-resistant additives.
Our factory uses glass ones, and they started leaking after just 2 years of use; they’re not reliable.
Currently, there is a huge difference in quality and price among fiberglass products; generally, products manufactured by large factories can be used for 20 years without any problems.
Practice has shown that it works fine after ten years of use.
When used as a brackish water circulation tank (with Dow 470 lining), its typical service life is three years.
The thickness of 470 varies from one manufacturer to another, as does the duration of its useful life. We have used methods such as lining with rubber, applying scale-proof coatings, and using anti-corrosion paints; as long as the inner surface is thoroughly rust-free and a higher voltage is used for spark treatment, it can be used for 5–10 years without any problems.
