I have been scuba diving here for two years; I only came up to the surface recently because the product development at my company was finally successful. For over five years, we have been working to find a material formula that can replace the existing enamel, in order to overcome its drawbacks of high sintering temperature and high brittleness. It should be noted that it is precisely these two fatal flaws that result in the extremely short service life of enameled equipment. For a long time, such equipment has been regarded as consumables – typically, within three months to half a year, repairs and patching are needed here and there; in some cases, the equipment even has to be sent back to the manufacturer for re-enameling. The manufacturers are overwhelmed by it. Strong large companies regularly dispose of a batch of enamel equipment every six months, as repairs often do not yield good results. Suzhou Fadel is recognized in the industry as having the best quality; its warranty period is only one year, and its price is at least 3 to 4 times that of domestic brands. I might just be talking nonsense; many users of enamel equipment can judge for themselves, hehe. To meet the requirements of resisting severe corrosion from strong acids and alkalis, enamel equipment must use enamel glaze powder. The formula components of the enamel powder are directly responsible for its high sintering temperature (above 900 degrees) and high brittleness (it is easy to break and explode). After each application of enamel powder, the enamel-coated equipment must be placed entire in an electric firing furnace, where it is heated to over 900 degrees. Steel undergoes two phase transformations at 723 degrees and 912 degrees – dehydrogenation and decarburization (both of which occur beneath the enamel layer, haha). So how can scaling be prevented in such a situation? How can the problem of double-sided glazing be solved? (Note) In other words, the disadvantages of enamel equipment are inherent -- not only due to the formula of the enamel powder but also because of its manufacturing process. Fadell improves the quality of its products by using higher-quality enamel steel plates and enamel powder, as well as stricter process controls. But basically, it’s the same old thing in a new package, and it’s very expensive. Imagine: if there were a new material that could provide excellent corrosion resistance and high toughness, and that didn’t require repeated firing to bond perfectly with the substrate, wouldn’t that fundamentally solve all the drawbacks of enamel-lined equipment? This is what many people have dreamed of for years. We are proud to say that we’ve done it. :) Currently, we have two products: 1. Enameled repair compound. It can be used for repairing various enamel-lined equipment; its strength of adhesion to metal as well as its corrosion resistance are far superior to those of Belzona’s similar products. What’s particularly important is that, due to its low cost, we can use it to treat the entire enameled equipment. In other words, it can completely replace the enamel layer. 2. Ceramic crystallization powder. There is no need for repeated firing; a single sintering or thermal spraying process is sufficient to eliminate any through-holes, including on both sides and at all edges and corners. It has excellent corrosion resistance. Experienced sea enthusiasts immediately understood the value of these two products. Our first end product is an enameled stirrer. Note: The problem of coating both sides is referred to as the inability of existing industrial enamel coating processes to apply an even enamel coating to both sides as well as the edges and corners of a thin steel sheet (for example, 3mm thick).
