Reasons for the breakage of the submersible pump shaft

Everyone, I have a well from which water comes out along with some sand. After six months of use, the pump shaft breaks, and the breakage is as clean as if it had been cut. Some of the impellers are completely worn through. I wonder what caused the pump shaft to break?
There should be areas where stress concentration occurs
It was likely shaft fracture caused by imbalance resulting from impeller wear.
