After a control system has been in operation for a long time, various unexpected problems can arise with both the hardware and software, sometimes requiring it to be shut down for repairs. What if, during a plant shutdown (for maintenance or other reasons), we take this opportunity to power down the control system and then restart it to perform a reset?

Some manufacturers stopped providing support once the warranty period expired, let alone coming to offer guidance during maintenance work. So, don’t rely on anyone; you have to depend on yourself.
