Currently, the production capacity of methanol in China has increased significantly, leading to an increase in output. Under such circumstances, how can the economic efficiency of methanol be improved? 1. The investment in MTO and MTP is too large; are there any good downstream products? Please give me some advice
Currently, the downstream product for methanol that receives the most attention is methanol-based gasoline. At the end of December 2010, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a symposium on pilot projects involving methanol-powered vehicles, during which discussions and plans were made regarding the trial use of high-concentration methanol-based gasoline (M85, M100) in Shanghai, Shaanxi, and Shanxi. This marked the official inclusion of the promotion of methanol-based gasoline as part of a strategic initiative.
I am also optimistic about methanol gasoline, as it will provide new market opportunities for our products.
**What does it mean that the standards for methanol-blended gasoline have not been established yet?
Reply to 5# hldmh: It’s certainly because there isn’t yet a reasonable set of data available to serve as a standard. This is a national standard, so strict requirements are necessary
To be precise, it is a pilot project for methanol vehicles, not a pilot project for methanol gasoline.
The market prospects for methanol gasoline should be very good
