How to process half-tubes

Hello everyone, Happy New Year. How are the heat tracing tubes (with a semi-circular cross-section) that are typically placed around the outside of containers manufactured? Should I buy a round tube and cut it?

The production of our company’s semi-circular coiled tubes is as follows: The semi-tubes that form part of the coil on the cylinder are rolled into a semi-circular shape from strip steel and then wrapped around; the semi-tubes for the end caps are made by rolling steel pipes (of different diameters) into sections, after which half of each section is cut off and used.
