The block SR-FLIP-LOP serves for short-term or long-term storage of logical states. Hence, it is equivalent to the seal-in circuit known in contactor technology. The output value is set by input S1 and is reset by input R. The term “s1” indicates that the SET input is dominant.
SR flip-flops are used for storing logical states for short or long periods of time. In other words, its function is similar to that of a sealed circuit in an electrical contactor. The output value is set by the S1 contact and reset by the R contact. S1 denotes priority for setting.
