The turndown is required to be 60% at the specified performance level. This term appears in the container’s process data sheet; I’m not sure what it means. Could someone please explain it to me? Thank you!

The turndown rate needs to be reduced to 60% at the specified performance level. The operation in turndown mode requires that the performance be reduced to 60% of the specified value. I’ve never really known how to translate the term \"turndown mode\". I think it’s a type of shutdown, but not a shutdown of the unit itself; it seems to be a problem with the process flow, which leads to a request to reduce the load on other related components. For example, the Turndown mode in PTA air compressor units requires the unit to operate at its minimum load level.
