Seeking help regarding the removal of iron from crushed ceramic minerals

To ensure whiteness, iron contained in ceramic minerals must be removed. Generally, iron removers are used, with magnetic rods being employed to remove iron from the crushed minerals. However, it is said that direct iron removal is not very effective; it seems that the use of certain chemicals would be more effective. Could anyone tell me what these chemicals are?
