I ask all fellow sailors: I know of several facilities whose raw water tanks used for wastewater stripping have not experienced any problems since they were put into operation. There is a degassing tank before the raw water enters the facility, and the raw water tank itself also has a water seal. Then why can’t the large amount of gas present in the raw water flowing into the external equipment be removed promptly? Will damage of varying degrees always occur? As is well known, bulging of the tank top occurs when there is air in the external device; apart from requiring that the external device be stable, are there any other good solutions?
The water seal tank isn’t very reliable to begin with – it gets clogged easily. One possible reason for this is poor degassing in the raw material degassing tank; it’s very likely that the clogging is caused by the water seal tank. If the top of the raw material water tank is unobstructed, then there shouldn’t be any major issues with degassing. By the way, where does the degassed raw material water go?
Usually, the vapor from the raw water tank is sent to the flare. However, if the torch back pressure is high, it will affect the degassing effect. Furthermore, an increase in the temperature inside the tank also leads to an increase in the gas phase pressure within it. Therefore, the temperature of the raw water should be reduced as much as possible; secondly, the tank top should be insulated to prevent sunlight from hitting it and causing an increase in the vapor pressure inside the tank.
The exhaust gas from Kyobo’s degassing tank is sent to the low-pressure gas or acidic vapor line!

Replace the degassing tank with a degassing tower and add an amine solution absorption process
