I’ve been studying oil refining desulfurization recently and came across a new term: pipeline desulfurization. I hope those who are more experienced can help me out

Strong oxidizers are used to oxidize sulfides in crude oil into sulfates or sulfones that are soluble in water or organic solvents, thereby achieving the purpose of desulfurization. If the pipeline is long enough, it is suitable for using strong oxidizers for oxidative desulfurization. The fire incident in Dalian was caused by a desulfurization agent used in oil pipelines
Are all crude oil desulfurization agents strong oxidants?
