For finished tanks with a capacity of 15,000, high accuracy is required for level measurement. What kind of remote transducer would be suitable for this purpose, one that is easy to calibrate? The existing radio frequency admittance transducers aren’t very useful.
Radar can be used for liquids, with precision down to mm, and it is also relatively easy to maintain.
Both gauge-grade radars and servo level gauges are suitable; both are commonly used in tank farms.

The ENRAF servo level gauges and MTS magnetostrictive level gauges that we use in our refined oil storage tanks perform well, with accuracy comparable to that of manual measurements.
