What is the purpose of welding the central hole in a flanged cover with a lining?
The main purpose is to achieve a stronger bond between the lining layer and the main body.
1. Plug welding can withstand relatively high stresses, but it is no longer used in many places these days. 2. Welding deformation causes the steel plate to warp, creating a gap between the stainless steel plate and the lining; plug welding enables these two materials to be pressed tightly together
