There are gods watching over us at all times – why deceive others? Wealth and honor are like flowers that fade quickly – why be proud? Another person’s wealth is determined by their past actions – why be jealous? Suffering in this life results from poor actions in past lives – why complain? Those who gamble end up with nothing – why engage in such behavior? Being thrifty in managing one’s household is better than relying on others – why be extravagant?
