What does “blinding provision” mean? ? ? Seen on PI&D
Is it a binding provision? Restriction clauses
blinding provision; in my opinion, it means “supply of blind plates”
Blind plates are provided; there are no constraints specified in the P&ID
Reference: Install blind flanges. At the branch connections of some high-pressure pipelines, flanged blind plates are generally required at those pipeline connections, in order to facilitate future connections or maintenance.
It should mean “the pipes there need to be sealed off”. It does not necessarily refer to a blind flange; it can also be a pipe cap, thread plug, collar, etc., depending on the site conditions or process design. You can refer to the piping diagram along with the material list it provides.
