Why is it necessary to ensure a certain length of horizontal pipe section before the liquid-phase pipeline enters the tower in low-temperature methanol washing units during pipeline layout?
Personally, I think it is to prevent excessive liquid impact and avoid large fluctuations in the liquid level inside the tower.
It facilitates operation under various conditions and provides buffering, preventing the gas-liquid two-phase flow from causing shock to the trays due to gas-liquid entrainment
