Hello everyone, in the shell gasification process, the 1700 preliminary water treatment unit has two SSS acidic slurry air lift feed tanks. What are the English words that SSS is an abbreviation for? Thank you! Also, on V1703 there are 17pv0026A/B; where do these two valves go respectively? What is its purpose? Thank you! Some information indicates that 17pv0026A goes to sulfur recovery, while other sources say it goes to the flare – it’s confusing.
SSS is the abbreviation for Sour Slurry Stripper. 17PV0026A is used for sulfur recovery, while 17PV0026B is used for venting to the flare; when sulfur recovery is not in operation, the flow is vented to the flare.
