Since the pump casing gasket is very expensive when purchased from the pump manufacturer, I plan to make it myself. I need a tool similar to a marking gauge, except with a blade on one side. Generally, asbestos board or blue asbestos paper is used for pump casing gaskets; one simply draws a circle with a compass and then cuts it out with scissors.
Buy a gasket machine; it’s not expensive, less than 10,000 yuan. It’s very useful!
If it’s not too complicated, place a cardboard gasket on the flange surface and gently tap it with a copper hammer or something similar to make the gasket the same size as the flange surface. Then, create holes in the areas where the bolt holes will be by tapping as well. That’s usually how blacksmiths do it

Is the pad you mentioned very complicated? Is it necessary to produce in batches? I think the people upstairs have all given great suggestions. That’s how ordinary fitters work: as long as you know the dimensions, any kind of padding can be cut using scissors, and for thicker materials, a chisel can be used. It’s not a complicated issue at all.
The selection of the pump casing gasket depends on factors such as the medium, temperature, and pressure. Aluminum pads are recommended for high temperature and high pressure conditions!
Just buy pre-made metal wound gaskets (which can be reused); ordinary PTFE gaskets will work as well. If you try to make them yourself, it won’t be fast enough for emergency repairs, and the surface area is limited, making it difficult to create a proper gasket.
