Reply 1# rlzy1979: C8C9 solvent oil is mainly a product of the xylene column unit in benzene hydrogenation processes; C8 refers to mixtures consisting mostly of organic compounds with 8 or fewer carbon atoms, and the same applies to C9. In our factory, both C8 and C9 are classified as solvent oils; they are mixed together to form one product for sale. Some other manufacturers refer to C9 as a solvent oil, while calling C8 light benzene. C8 mainly consists of mixed xylene, ethylbenzene, and toluene. In C9, there are mainly three types: benzene, naphthalene, and indane.
Non-aromatics, also known as residue oil, generally refer to the distillate oil remaining after extraction of catalytic reforming products rich in aromatics (reformate gasoline); its main components are alkanes with carbon atoms numbered 6 to 8, along with a certain amount of cycloalkanes. Simply put, they are hydrocarbon compounds that do not contain benzene rings.
