Maintenance of float valves

I would like to ask how to maintain a float valve in order to extend its lifespan!
Why isn’t anyone coming to comment on it? Here, the float valve also doesn’t work properly all the time; we hope experts can offer some guidance!
Mainly, it’s the float ball and the linkage that tend to rust; there is no other solution except to keep them in motion regularly to ensure proper function. If the interval between starting and stopping is too long, they are prone to damage. . . . . . Prepare a spare; nothing is easy to repair. . . .
Float valves still have an irreplaceable role in some applications, but domestically produced ones tend to fail easily when used in harsh conditions. The replacement cycle for the several float ball valves we use is more or less the same; they are all checked during the annual maintenance, and new ones are installed when it’s time for them to be replaced.
For those that are not used frequently, a valve sleeve can be added for protection; for those that are used often, apply even force when opening and closing the valve, and avoid suddenly opening or closing it with excessive force.
Replace it with stainless steel, or install two sets as a backup for each other；
