We work in the coal chemical industry; should we take the exam for Certified Public Equipment (Power) engineer or the exam for Certified Chemical Engineer? I had planned to take the exam for chemical engineering, but my supervisor said I should take the exam for registered utility equipment (power), as the coal chemical engineering major falls under registered utility equipment (power)! Feel free to share your thoughts
All of them can be taken; they can be passed separately. Many proofs do not overwhelm one.
All of them can be taken as exams, but a degree in power engineering is more valuable and has broader applications
Is it more difficult to pass the exam for a registered mechanical engineer or a registered chemical engineer?
I would like to ask how registered power engineers can apply their skills more broadly? Is it very difficult to pass? If one is exempt from the basic courses and only has to take the specialized courses, is it easy to pass?
Power applications are definitely more widespread. Registration in chemical engineering is only required in chemical engineering design institutes; the scope of application is quite limited. And power is needed in both the chemical industry and civil construction; market demand is very strong. In short: Registration certificates that are directly related to people’s livelihoods are the most in demand (i.e., the utility units in chemical plant design, such as water, electricity, gas, etc.)
