Placing the entire unit inside a suction vessel makes the installation process very simple and safe, in accordance with appropriate vessel pressure codes such as ASME VIII. The unit is identical to that in the factory – there is no coupling; no additional piping has been installed for seal cleaning, bearing cooling, or lubrication. Compared to traditional pumps, the cryogenic pumps produced by EIC are lightweight, low-noise, highly safe, and easy to install. Of course, the fact that no regular daily maintenance is required is a major advantage. Another feature of all the pumps produced by Ebara America’s low-temperature pump division is its unique \"thrust-balancing mechanical principle\", which fully balances the axial load on the pump bearings, allowing them to operate at full flow rate with no load. According to the American Electrical Code (Paragraph 501.8(A)(4) of NFPA 70-1987), the units are suitable for installation in Class 1, Div 1, Groups C and D locations; these locations typically require explosion-proof motors. Since the pumps from Ebara America Cryogenic Pumps can be installed inside the tank, all connections below the maximum liquid level can be eliminated. This eliminates the possibility of leaks within the main tank caused by pipes or joints. This extends the service life of the bearings in the product lubrication pump. 2) Lubrication and cooling system: The cooling of submersed stator motors and the lubrication of bearings are achieved through the static stress generated by the compressed product pressure and acting on the outer diameter of the impeller. The resulting flow passes through the wear ring at the top of the impeller, then through the lower bearing and the gap between the motor rotor and stator. The liquid flow serves for bearing lubrication and motor cooling. The upper bearing uses separate lubrication. The product flow passes through a very small orifice plate, then, together with the bearings and bearing retainers, enters the motor. Then it enters the main product pipeline rather than the pump inlet. For high-pressure pumps, the motor cooling return system will be changed so that the motor cooling flow follows a predetermined path through the intermediate impeller section before entering the outlet flow. 3) Bearing structure: All EIC cryopumps are equipped with stainless steel ball bearings, offering a minimum rated operating life of 25,000 hours and an accuracy grade of ABEC-1 level 3. The bearings will be specially modified, with custom-made non-metallic (Cryolon) components being used to replace the stainless steel bearing separators. The separator consists of two halves and is connected by rivets. 4) Design of low-temperature dynamic inducer wheels: The selection and design of inducer wheels are based on a large number of case studies of operating products in this field. This study enables the inducer wheel to perform as well in general industrial applications as it does in pumps used in the more demanding hydrocarbon industry.
