How does the power end of a pneumatic diaphragm pump work? It’s not about the working principle of the pump; someone asked about it on the forum, but no one answered. Does anyone know?
Once you take it apart and look at it, it becomes clear – it’s just a slide valve (that’s how we call it; I’m not sure what the professional term is), and it works on the same principle as the valve stem and diaphragm in a metering pump. The pneumatic pump consists of 2 diaphragms; when gas pushes the slide valve to the right, the one-way valve at the right outlet opens while the one-way valve at the inlet closes, allowing the medium to be discharged through the outlet ； At the same time, the inlet check valve on the left opens while the outlet check valve closes, allowing the medium to be drawn in.
