Who can explain the manufacturing process of condensers? It’s my first time working on this, so I would appreciate some guidance from experienced colleagues. Pictures would be helpful too. Thank you
A condenser is essentially a surface-type heat exchanger; it is used to condense the waste steam that has done its work into water, which is why it is also called a steam-water heat exchanger. Its structure consists of a casing, water chamber end caps, tube sheets, cooling tube bundles, hot water wells, waste steam inlets, exhaust air ports, air cooling zones, condenser vapor space partitions, cooling water inlet and outlet pipes, and water chamber partitions. Although the operating pressure of the condenser is not high, its manufacturing process is quite complex. It mainly involves structural welding, tube sheet processing, drilling, and expansion jointing of tube bundles. Appropriate facilities and large drilling machines are required. Of course, when it comes to processing, there must be blueprints and the corresponding qualifications. Attachment: Photos of the condenser being assembled on-site (for 12MW units).
