What does the product age of bricks mean? Our duty room is built with gray sand bricks, and the design requirement specifies that the age of the products should be more than 15 days. What does that actually mean?

Gray sand bricks and fly ash bricks exhibit high rates of shrinkage in the early stages after leaving the kiln; if used in walls at this time, significant shrinkage cracks are likely to occur. Therefore, it is required that the holding time after removal from the kiln should be no less than 28 days, so that most of the early shrinkage occurs during this period; this is an important technical measure to prevent early cracking in the walls.
