For combustible and toxic gas alarm detectors, **are there any relevant standards that specify the calibration or verification cycle for them?** What standards if sometimes? Thank you all!
Previously, more than 10 combustible gas detectors were selected for a single user; the qualification certificates of the manufacturers were checked. The inspection standard for combustible gas alarm controllers is GB16808-1997 (issued by **Fire Electronic Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center**). The inspection standard for combustible gas detectors is GB15322.1-2003 (also issued by **Fire Electronic Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center**). Standard GB15322‑2003 for combustible gas detectors was published on February 21, 2003, and came into effect on December 1, 2003. The differences and similarities between GB15322–2003 and GB15322–94 are compared in terms of structure, technical content, and the testing equipment used (see Table 2 for details). I. Structural changes compared to the original standard: The standard **“Flammable Gas Detectors” GB15322–2003 was formulated by taking into account European standards EN50054, EN50055, EN50056, EN50057, and EN50058 (1999 edition). It also takes into account China’s national conditions, the current state of such products, as well as the future development trends in flammable gas detection and alarm technology. As a result, the original standard GB15322-94 “Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Flammable Gas Detectors” was revised to form the GB15322–2003 series of standards for flammable gas detectors. The standard consists of seven parts: Part 1: Point-type combustible gas detectors with a measurement range of 0–100% LEL ; Part 2: Standalone combustible gas detectors with a measurement range of 0–100% LEL ; Part 3: Portable combustible gas detectors with a measurement range of 0–100% LEL ; Part 4: Point-type combustible gas detectors for measuring artificial coal gas ; Part 5: Standalone combustible gas detectors for measuring artificial gas ; Part 6: Portable combustible gas detectors for measuring artificial gas ; Part 7: Linear combustible gas detectors. II. It remains basically consistent with the original standard in terms of technical content. 1) **Parts 1: ‘Point-type combustible gas detectors with a measurement range of 0–100% LEL’ and 4: ‘Point-type combustible gas detectors for measuring artificial gas’ of the standard ‘Combustible Gas Detectors’ GB15322–2003 are essentially consistent with the original standard GB15322–94 in terms of technical content. Three electromagnetic compatibility tests have been added: the “Gas Interference Test”, the “Radiated Electromagnetic Field Test”, the “Electrical Transient Pulse Test”, and the “Electrostatic Discharge Test”. The purpose of adding the gas interference test is to examine the ability of detectors used in domestic kitchens to resist gas interference. European standards and UL standards also evaluate this performance ; The addition of three electromagnetic compatibility tests is due to the explicit provisions in the standard **\"Environmental Test Methods and Severity Levels for Fire-Fighting Electronic Products\" GB16838-1997. The contents of the three electromagnetic compatibility tests are entirely in line with the requirements for the certified product \"Point-type smoke fire detectors\" tested by our center (in accordance with GB4715-93). 2) **Part 2 of the standard “Flammable Gas Detectors” GB15322–2003: Standalone flammable gas detectors with a measurement range of 0–100% LEL; Part 3: Portable flammable gas detectors with a measurement range of 0–100% LEL; Part 5: Standalone flammable gas detectors designed for measuring artificial coal gas; and Part 6: Portable flammable gas detectors designed for measuring artificial coal gas – are technically consistent with the original standards GB15322-94 “Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Flammable Gas Detectors” and GA127-1996 “Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Household Flammable Gas Alarms”. III. The testing equipment specified is essentially the same as that outlined in the original standards. The standard “Flammable Gas Detectors” GB15322–2003 is consistent in technical terms with the original standard GB15322-94 “Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Flammable Gas Detectors” as well as GA127-1996 “Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Domestic Flammable Gas Alarms”. Three additional electromagnetic compatibility tests have been added, and these requirements are completely in line with those for the “Point-type Smoke Fire Detectors” that our center inspects, which are subject to the standards GB4715–93. Therefore, electromagnetic compatibility testing equipment can be shared. Additionally, I came across a document titled \"Standards for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry of the People’s Republic of China\" SY6503-2000, which specifies the requirements for the use of combustible gas detection alarms.
