Differences among the three models of PTFE-coated gaskets

There are three types of PTFE-lined gaskets: 1. Machined fin type (PMF), 2. Machined rectangular type (PMS), and 3. Folded type (PFT). I would like to ask in what situations each of these three models is suitable?
Type A – the cut-type refers to the machined airfoil shape; Type B – the machined type refers to the machined rectangular shape; Type C is the unpacked type. According to the standards, Types A and B are used for applications where the nominal size is less than or equal to DN500, with Type B being the recommended choice. Type C is used in applications where the nominal size is greater than or equal to DN350. Baidu states that the forms of gaskets are as follows: 1. Type A, cut-type – the PTFE sheet is cut from the outside to the inner wall; suitable for low-pressure applications and is cost-effective. 2. Type B, machined (square shape), made by mechanically turning tetrafluoroethylene plates; suitable for medium and high pressures. 3. Type C, folded-type, formed by folding tetrafluoroethylene strips around the edge and then heating them together for bonding.
