The centrifugation failure caused a large amount of catalyst slurry to be discharged into the distillation tower; everything taken out from the middle section of the tower was sludge, and cleaning it was very difficult. Does anyone have any good suggestions?
1. During normal operation, pay attention to changes in the solid content of the slurry; if it becomes too high, it should be removed promptly. 2. In the event of an accident, ensure that the pressure in the settler is higher than that in the regenerator. 3. The problem is right there: shut down for maintenance of the cyclone separator inside the settler!
The floating valves in the distillation tower are likely clogged and need to be cleaned. It’s advisable to conduct inspections on the slurry system as well as replace the pipelines
Reply 1# ybt5166889: I’ve never heard it described as being this serious before. There’s no good solution; the only option is to stop work for cleaning and maintenance. It is evident how important the construction quality and inspection quality of the centrifuge are. Take it as a lesson.
