Those who are involved in gangue-based power generation, could you please provide guidance on what type of boiler should be used and what are the requirements regarding the quality of the gangue as coal? Slag is generally used more in fluidized-bed boilers for power generation, but it causes significant wear on the boilers; it is better to mix slag with a certain amount of high-quality coal when burning it
For the fluidized bed – as mentioned above, an oxidizer is used. How much of this oxidizer is needed to burn coal gangue for a day, and what is the cost?
For waste rock power generation, circulating fluidized bed systems are widely used at present. As for coal quality, an average calorific value of over 3,500 calories per unit is sufficient; if this requirement isn’t met, some bituminous coal or coking coal can be mixed in, as long as stable combustion is ensured. At the same time, the sulfur content must be taken into account during design.
