For PN2.5, plate flat welding flanges should not be used; raised face welding flanges should be employed instead.
Regarding the plate-type face weld flange, based solely on the pressure rating of PN2.5 as mentioned by LZ, I think it should work fine in practical use. It’s different from LS; please forgive me if I’m wrong, and I hope experts can correct me. From a pressure perspective alone, PN2.5, PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25, and PN40 are all practical in standards. However, given the properties of the medium in the pipeline, plate face weld flanges cannot be used in applications with severe cycling, nor can they be used with hazardous media. Here, for utility pipelines below PN16, plate flat welding flanges are generally used.
Plate flat-face welding flanges come in two types of sealing surfaces: RF and FF; both can be used, with RF being the more common choice
PN2.5 uses plate butt welding; there is no fusion welding, per the new standard

According to HG20592-2009, it is permissible to use it! If the medium is flammable or toxic, it is recommended to use a flanged neck

The selection of flanges depends mainly on your design and the medium being used. There are also flat-welded flanges that meet a pressure standard of 25 kilograms. For high-pressure, high-temperature, or hazardous media, it is recommended to use butt-welded flanges
