As title: Seeking the operating method for a centrifugal air compressor. When a turbine drives it and the compressor is used to regulate the pressure in a settler, is a constant rotational speed specified? For example: What does PIK 1101 on the DCS screen mean? Is it the specified speed or the valve opening?
The compressor controls the reactor pressure, usually by adjusting the speed, and the speed is in turn regulated by the opening degree of the steam inlet to the turbine
Generally, the speed is adjusted manually via DCS, so that the unit operates smoothly.
It is mainly achieved by adjusting the turbine governor, thereby regulating the reaction pressure
The compressor is used to regulate the pressure in the settler by changing its speed in response to pressure changes; on the DCS interface, PIK 1101 represents the pressure in the settler. However, the opening degree of the compressor’s speed controller is not necessarily equal to that of PIK 1101.

Reply to 1# 328104062: Generally, the pressure in the settler is controlled by the speed of the air compressor; the speed of the air compressor changes depending on the speed of the turbine. The speed of the turbine is controlled by 505, and based on the values entered manually, the electronic control system of 505 adjusts the throttle valve in order to change the opening degree of the control valve at the turbine inlet. In actual production, when there are minor changes in the pressure of the settler, regulation is achieved by adjusting the opening degree of the counter-acting control valve; it can generally be set to automatic mode. The compressor speed is changed via 505 only when there are significant changes in processing volume or reaction depth.
In our system, the pressure of the compressor controls the pressure at the split top, which in turn affects the pressure in the settler. The speed of the compressor is adjusted, and it is connected to the turbine; the speed of the turbine is controlled by adjusting the opening degree of the main steam valve. Under normal conditions, a specific value is set for the pressure at the split top, and this value is used for automatic control in conjunction with the compressor.
Everyone else uses automatic mode, but we really keep using manual mode:dizzy:
