This is a common issue with instrumentation projects: the person in charge of the instrumentation leaves the job, and the person who takes over finds it difficult to get up to speed. If there is poor handling of the handover of documents, things get even worse for the person who takes over. To ensure that all completion documents are available, the documents required for the project’s completion acceptance should include: (1) the as-built drawings of the project (including the design drawings and as-built drawings for the entire set of instrumentation and automatic control systems). (II) Documents for design modifications and substitute documents for materials. (III) Documentation and records of concealed works. (IV) Records of instrument installation and quality inspection. (5) Cable insulation test records. (VI) Ground resistance test record. (7) Records of cleaning, pressure testing, and leak testing for instrument air and pressure guiding pipes, etc. (8) Certificates of product quality compliance for instrumentation equipment and materials. (IX) Instrument calibration and test records. (10) Records of loop tests and system tests. (11) Instrument and equipment handover list. (12) Records of alarm and interlock system commissioning.
