The sulfur recovery production unit uses a high-temperature mixing method, but during a shutdown it was found that the secondary high-temperature mixing line was blocked – how should this be addressed? How to prevent it in production?
The clogging of the mixing pipeline in high-temperature mixing valves is mainly due to sulfur solidification. Has the steam on the high-temperature mixing valve been continuous without interruption? Active participation
On the high-temperature line, we only have steam at the mixing valve here; there is no heat tracing on the high-mixing line!
What is the scale of your device? What is the diameter of the high-temperature mixing line?
Moderator, our production volume is very low – 5,000 tons per year, with the inner diameter of the blending line being around 80 mm!
Is the pipeline lined? If there is a lining, it is possible that the lining may come off and cause blockages in the pipeline.
Is there any blockage or poor flow in the heating system of the pipeline jacket? If the pipeline isn’t blocked, it’s likely that the high-temperature mixing valve will become clogged due to sulfur deposition; check whether the steam protection system is functioning properly. If sulfur accumulation occurs, steam heating is used to melt it, and the resulting substance is carried away by air to the sulfur seal tank.
