I would like to ask everyone: should the equipment list be created in CAD or in Excel? It seems to me that Excel is a better option, as it’s easier to add items if any are missed. However, the equipment list mentioned in the book \"Chemical Process Design and Construction Drawings: Content and Depth\" appears to have been created in CAD; the book itself doesn’t specify this either. I would appreciate some guidance from those who have experience in this area. Thank you!
We mostly work in EXCEL, with a fixed format for each unit
First, do it in EXCEL, and then it can be pasted into CAD
We all do it in EXCEL; I’ve seen some materials from design firms that were also created in EXCEL. When it comes to CAD, performing tasks such as input and editing is never as convenient as in EXCEL or Word, after all, it is a drawing software.
