For pipelines under 6.5 MPa pressure, it is advisable to use valves with a pressure rating of 10.0 MPa or higher
The 900lb mentioned by the poster likely refers to the nominal pressure, and it is not 900psig = 62.05barG
Under normal conditions, the operating pressure is 6.5 MPa, and 600 LB is sufficient to meet this requirement. The operating temperature under the conditions mentioned by the poster must be above 150 degrees; based on the properties of the material, only a 900LB grade can be used to meet these requirements. 1 pound is approximately 0.45 kilograms, so 900 pounds equals 405 kilograms. The pressure must be quite high, right?
You can’t calculate it that way upstairs; the American system has several pressure levels, and if you want to find out more, take a look at HG20615-2009

According to HG20615, 900 pounds corresponds to a pressure of 15 MPa; therefore, your piping system should use a pressure rating of 600 pounds (11 MPa) or 10 MPa. In China, it is common to choose pipe fittings with a slightly higher rating, so it’s also acceptable to use 900 pounds or 16 MPa
