I visited a manufacturer that used double-impeller pumps to feed a plate and frame filter press; the installation height was -6 meters. When I consulted the pump manufacturer about this, their staff said that the pump only needed to be installed below the liquid level, and that the pump’s manual did not include any parameters regarding the net positive suction head. Is it really true that an installation at -6 meters has no basis, and that double-impeller pumps don’t have a net positive suction head?
