What should be the general size of lifting blocks, and what are the requirements? What are the requirements regarding the size (length, width, height) of lifting blocks for transportation?
It’s hard to say; it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. The supporting equipment remains the same, depending on capabilities.
For equipment that is typically transported using jacks, the transportation constraints to consider are those related to road transport. Based on my experience, it’s best to design such equipment with a width of 2.4 meters and a length of 15 meters. The height should be limited to 4.5 meters, as this is the maximum allowed by road regulations; generally, the equipment should not exceed 3 meters in height. Of course, for larger pieces of equipment, it’s inevitable that they will be wider and taller, but their width should still not exceed 4 meters, and their length should not exceed 20 meters.

I once saw a design intended to pry apart something that was 20 meters long and weighed nearly 60 tons. It does seem a bit silly – with something so heavy, how is it going to be transported to the site by truck? What can be lifted? We need to pave the road, right? . . . .
